Your new employer is a family-run business based in Helmond that has been developing and manufacturing technical solutions for heating and cooling systems for over 60 years. They specialise in solutions that improve the quality of the water in these systems. This enables installations to operate more efficiently, reduces wear and tear, and saves energy. The products are largely manufactured in the Netherlands, using materials such as steel and brass.
Products are manufactured at the production site in Helmond and ultimately find their way to customers both at home and abroad. The client has since grown into an international market leader within its field, but the culture of the family business is still very much alive. Colleagues know one another, help one another and are given the space to develop themselves.
Sustainability also plays an important role. The products help heating and cooling systems to operate more efficiently, and the client is itself taking steps towards more sustainable and circular business practices. So you’re not just working on metal components, but on products that ultimately contribute to better-performing and more energy-efficient installations.
You start your day by checking the schedule and work sheets, so that you know exactly which small components you will be assembling and welding today. With your Level 1 experience in MIG/MAG welding, you ensure that each component is carefully assembled and welded. You set up the welding equipment correctly and constantly check the quality of your work.
It’s not just about welding, though. You assess how the various components fit together, check that everything aligns properly and ensure that the end product meets the specified requirements. You work with precision and quickly spot when something isn’t quite right. Where necessary, you adjust your working method or the equipment settings.
You’ll also work with a circumferential welding robot to carry out repetitive tasks efficiently and accurately. You’ll ensure the components are positioned correctly, keep a close eye on the welding process and check the end result. In this way, you’ll combine your own craftsmanship with modern production technology.
During your work, you’ll be in regular contact with colleagues in production to find the best solutions together. If something doesn’t go as expected or you spot an opportunity to tackle the work more efficiently, you’ll discuss this with one another. The atmosphere is open and collegial: we work hard, but always with a sense of enjoyment and a good dose of humour.
At the end of your working day, you can look back on tangible results. The components you have assembled and welded are used in.
You are someone who enjoys working with metal and derives satisfaction from a high-quality end result. You don’t need to be a specialist with years of experience, but some experience of MIG/MAG welding is important. You work meticulously, take responsibility and enjoy being part of a production team.
In addition, you will bring the following:
- Experience in MIG/MAG welding at level 1 or above;
- Experience in assembling and welding small components;
- An affinity for metalworking and production;
- Technical understanding;
- The ability to work from workbooks and instructions;
- You can set up welding equipment correctly;
- You work accurately and have an eye for quality;
- Experience with a welding robot is an advantage;
- You are willing to learn how to work with a circular welding robot;
- You can work independently;
- You also enjoy working alongside colleagues;
- You are practical and solution-oriented;
- You take responsibility for the end result;
- You have a positive attitude and will fit in well with a down-to-earth and friendly production team.
Can you picture yourself assembling small components, welding them neatly and working with a modern welding robot as part of a friendly technical team? Then we’d love to meet you!
